Moonrise Kingdom was a movie I WASN'T expecting to be good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I walked into the movie theatre not having a clue as what to expect. The beginning was a little confusing but soon led into an enticing story where you couldn't help but fight for the misfits.
You are probably seeing a trend here. Heart-warming movies. I love 'em. What can I say, they are pretty great. This is a story about a boy and a girl who are rejected by their current situations and have chosen to take desperate measures to make their situations better.
They run away and through a serious of events end up stabbing a boy and losing a good soldier. It was an odd film and a bit graphic at times. It kind of made you fall in love with love again.
Bruce Willis (Die Hard) and Edward Norton (Fight Club) were featured as leads in this film while the younger faces weren't as familiar.
I believe this film is out of theatres but it should be in Redbox soon. Check it out and see what it is all about. It got an 8.3 rating on IMDB. That's a credible source, so if you don't believe me, believe them.
