Welcome to the island of misfit toys...
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a book that I read awhile back, I guess when it came out. I picked up the book originally because it had an interesting cover. (Basically it was a bright green and it caught my attention, I, also like the band The Wallflowers.) The book is about a boy named Charlie who is writing letters about his experiences in life. It is an extremely personal book about Charlie. The movie comes out on September 20. It features Emma Watson (Harry Potter series), Paul Rudd (Role Models), and Logan Lerman (Butterfly Effect).
The writer of the novel, Stephen Chbosky, also wrote the screenplay and will be directing the film. The film is being produced by Mr. Mudd, who produced Juno. It has to be a good movie. Chbosky is going to make sure it is as similar as the book. My friend Daniel and I have already made plans to see this movie.
If you haven't heard of it and you like odd, realistic movies that warm your heart, you should watch it. Even if it you wait for it to come to Redbox. This short trailer captures the feel of the movie, I can already tell. :]
